Welcoming You to Bear Creek

We’ve grown, but our promise to you hasn’t changed.

Church’s Mobile Veterinary Service is now Bear Creek Large Animal Clinic — a name that reflects where we’re rooted and where we’re headed. We’re building out a new haul-in facility to expand your options for diagnostics, treatments, and follow-up care, while continuing to offer mobile services throughout Southern Oregon.

Our clients come from across Jackson, Josephine, Siskiyou Counties, and beyond, because they know we show up, we listen, and we follow through. This next chapter gives us more tools to support the animals and operations you rely on, while holding onto the same practical, respectful, and relationship-centered care we’re known for.

Whether you’ve worked with Dr. Church for years or you’re just getting to know our team, we’re glad you’re here.

Who We Care For

Every animal that comes through our gates or meets us out in the field matters deeply to someone. A 4H steer raised with patience and pride. A champion barrel horse hauling across the state. A first-time mama goat who needs help delivering her kid. These aren’t just patients. They’re partners, livelihoods, and family.

At Bear Creek Large Animal Clinic, we care for animals that work hard, perform under pressure, and live alongside you. We recognize what’s at stake when one of them is hurting, and we treat your concerns with the seriousness they deserve.

We provide care for:

  • Working and performance horses — from trail partners to rodeo athletes and show horses
  • Cow-calf herds and beef cattle operations — across Southern Oregon and Northern California
  • Dairy cattle — where herd health issues can affect daily production
  • Goats, sheep, and small ruminants — raised for fiber, meat, milk, or companionship
  • Swine and other livestock — including 4H and fair animals

What to Expect

We offer both mobile and haul-in care, depending on your needs.

  • Mobile Services: We serve a wide geographic area and can meet you at your farm, ranch, or home. You’ll get reliable, prompt service from a veterinarian who comes prepared to work through whatever your animals need that day.
  • Haul-In Facility: Our new facility is currently in development. When complete, it will allow us to offer more advanced diagnostics, treatment, and recovery options in a comfortable, well-equipped setting.

During your visit, we take the time to explain what we’re seeing, what we recommend, and what your options are. We want you to leave every visit feeling heard, respected, and confident in the next steps.

Optional Services & Requests

We offer a variety of services to make ongoing care easier for our clients:

  • Health Certificates – for shows, sales, and travel
  • Coggins Testing – for equine transport
  • Prepurchase Exams – for new additions to your herd
  • Routine Herd Visits – for vaccinations, deworming, and general care
  • Sedated Procedures – such as dental floats or castrations

If you have a specific request or unique situation, reach out. We’re always open to discussing how we can support your animals and your operation.

Payment & Policies

We accept payment at the time of service, including:

  • Cash
  • Check
  • Credit or debit cards
  • Scratch Pay

You’ll receive an estimate before we begin treatment or procedures. If you ever have questions about the cost or scope of care, we’ll walk you through it.

Scheduling & Communication

To book a visit, call us at (541) 246-7370.

  • Mobile visits are available by appointment and depend on our schedule and travel routes. Let us know what species and how many animals need care so we can plan accordingly.
  • Haul-in appointments will become available once our new facility is fully open. For now, we’ll guide you to the right location when you call.

We’ll also provide clear instructions on what to prepare for your visit, whether that’s catching animals ahead of time, setting up a clean space for procedures, or withholding feed before sedation.
